Before I captured images of beautiful people standing in front of beautiful landscapes, there was just me, and any friend or family member who was willing to be a human canvas and allow me to cover them in makeup and dress them in flowing costumes. I've always been creative that way. But it was the birth of our firstborn that ignited my love for photography. I loved the idea of being able to freeze time through photographs, so I would have those memories forever.

While I hold the camera, Just between Us Photography wouldn't deliver the incredible images it does without my husband and partner, Anthony. While I typically bring the vision for set design, it's Ant who executes it and then knows exactly how to capture your best angle. We have so much fun bouncing ideas off each other which is why we are able to offer our unique shoots and signature editing style.
We absolutely love making people feel confident and beautiful. Especially those who struggle to see their full beauty. We love meeting new people, getting to hear their stories, and capturing the sometimes very vulnerable moments and memories of their lives.
Every year we typically hire someone to take our family photos. This year we decided to do it ourselves. Never underestimate the power of a tripod and the promise of ice cream!
When we're not behind the camera, building sets, or editing, we're off discovering new trails and parks, going to the beach, or trying delicious new treats or meals with our four beautiful children. Yes, we're wonderfully busy! We love our many silly family traditions, especially each Halloween when we dress up in our themed costumes. (One year Ant was Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, thank goodness for cameras, because those pictures will live on forever on our Facebook page!)
In some studios, you are a number, a time slot. We don't enjoy working that way. We love working WITH our clients, using their energy and input, so we can get the best outcome.
